How to Read Betting Odds Formats
There are four odds formats commonly used in sports betting. Understand each one so you can make better-informed betting decisions.
The most popular format in Malaysia. A positive value shows the profit per unit staked if you win, while a negative value shows how much you need to stake to win one unit.
Odds -0.75, bet RM10 → If you win, profit = RM10 ÷ 0.75 = RM13.33, total return = RM23.33.
Shows the net profit for every one unit staked. It is always a positive value and easy to calculate — simply multiply by your stake amount.
Similar to Malay Odds but usually displayed in larger values (positive or negative). A positive value means profit per unit; a negative value means risk per unit of profit.
The easiest format to understand. Multiply your stake by the odds value to get the total return (which already includes your original stake). Suitable for beginners.
